If it sells, serves or fixes something, it works here

We are not filling the market with ten of the same thing. Tell us what you do and we will tell you honestly whether there is room for it, and where in the aisle it belongs.

Three kinds of trader

Where you are right now

Most people who take a unit here fall into one of these. See which one sounds like you.

Trading from home or online

You already have customers, a following and stock in the spare room. What you do not have is a door people can walk through. This is the cheapest way in the borough to get one, and you keep every penny of margin because the bills are already covered.

Renting a chair somewhere else

You are paying someone else for a corner of their shop and building their name instead of yours. For a similar weekly figure you get your own four walls, your own fascia and your own bookings.

Already have a shop

A second site usually means a second set of overheads. Not here. Open a satellite in Catford, test the pitch for a season, and if it works you are already trading rather than still fitting out.

The advantage

A row of shops pulls harder than one shop on its own

Somebody comes in for a haircut and leaves with a phone screen fixed and lunch in a bag. That is the whole point of a market.

Each trader in here brings their own customers through the front doors, and those customers walk past every other unit on the way. Your neighbour’s good week is your good week. That is a kind of marketing you cannot buy, and it costs you nothing.

On top of that we promote our traders across our own channels at no charge. New faces get pushed hardest, because a full market is worth more to us than a high asking price.

No idea is too small

Describe what you do in one sentence

Ring Mr Osman, say it out loud, and you will have a straight answer about whether it fits and which unit suits it best. No pitch deck required.
